NFL WEEK 11 POWER RANKINGS THE WILD SHAMROCK WAY

WE PUT ON OUR GAME FACE FOR THE WEEK 11 POWER RANKINGS!!

#1.BALTIMORE RAVENS 7-2 (UP 2 SPOTS) Ravens made some noise knocking off the Patriots. Ruining the Evil Empire’s perfect season. Then last Sunday they steamrolled a bad Bengal team. Another epic performance by Lamar Jackson.

He did a spin move that could have broken ankles of the Bengals defenders. Ravens showing you what great teams do, especially coming off an impressive victory over a power house team like the Patriots. Some teams will play the inferior opponent lightly and keep them in the game. Which some of those contests result in upset. Ravens from start to finish squashed the Bengals hope.

#2.SEATTLE SEAHAWKS 7-2 (UP 3 SPOTS) Another comeback by Russell Wilson and the Seahawks. This time beating the unbeaten San Francisco 49ers, a division rival and on Monday night. Sure another missed kick by the opponent helps the Seahawks again. What stands out to me is the Seahawks defensive line. They won the trench battle. The trade getting Jadeveon Clowney from Houston paying off. Plus the play of Jarran Reid put a stop to 49ers run, in a game that’s one of the best in the league. It was the defense line that kept them in the game and got Seattle on the score board. 49ers came in steam rolling the Seahawks in the first quarter. Russell Wilson had a great defense and a way to hex opposing kickers seems like a recipe that is working for this Seahawk team.

#3.NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS 8-1 (UP 1 SPOT) Patriots are a dangerous team on the field. However they are even more dangerous coming off a bye week. Last week the Evil mastermind Bill Belichick, living off jolt cola and stale twinkies, locked himself in a room and plotted his revenge.

He will find the weakest link and eliminate them.

The Patriots will then upgrade and promote their next admiral or commander, and retool their alignments. Strengthen the death star and be ready for their grand attack in week 11.

#4.SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS 8-1 (DOWN 2 SPOTS) It’s hard to run the table in the NFL and stay perfect the whole regular season of 16 games. Can this game send this team in some kind of tail spin? 49ers came out of the gates strong, building a nice lead versus the Seahawks. Then to see the Seahawks tie the game in regulation. Do the 49ers have a problem with their kicking game. No Robbie Gould, it could be dark roads ahead for the 49ers. Rookie kicker Chase McLaughlin missed a game winning attempt in overtime that was a complete shank. Could this be the hex from Robbie Gould? Since he was let go from the Bears, his former team has had kicking woes. Evidence is the playoffs last year Bears versus the Eagles, the famous double doink off the up rights by Cody Parky. Parky kicking much better these days with the Titans. Gould does not want a rookie kicker taking his job. 49ers better not put the game in the kicker’s foot. Conspiracy? I don’t think so.

#5.NEW ORLEANS SAINTS 7-2 (DOWN 4 SPOTS) How do you come out of your bye week and lose to a disappointing Falcon team who had only one win? The Saints were the hottest team in the league before the bye week. They had Alvin Kamara back in the fold. They even had Drew Brees with one game under his belt being back from injury with a chance to rest up and recharge. Only to get three field goals off the walking dead defense that Atlanta has at home. Matt Ryan was back from injury. Only way to explain this is the Falcons are division rivals and these teams play each other twice a year. They know each other. Falcons were amped up for this one. Next week Falcons will go back to regular ways. While the Saints, shell shocked, will rebound.

#6.GREEN BAY PACKERS 8-2 (UP 1 SPOT) Packers rebounded from their hangover weekend versus the Chargers. They won a big game versus a good Carolina team at home.

Did the Packers get lucky in the snow at home last week? Christian McCaffrey’s plunge into the pile during the last second in the game looks very close which was obviously not ruled the game tying touchdown. Which resulted in a Packers win. Another Aaron Rodgers and his lucky agent stuck up his rear end as they escape yet again with a win.

#7.MINNESOTA VIKINGS 7-3 (UP 1 SPOT) Vikings with a big win last Sunday. Plus it was a big win on the Sunday night grand stage and Kirk Cousins and Vikings were on the road in Dallas. The Cowboy,s sometimes you do not know what team of theirs is going to show up. To beat them in their own back yard its big win for the Vikings. It’s a big win for Kirk Cousins as he mostly does not respond on the bigger stage. Plus it keeps the Vikings in striking distance with the division rival Packers. They both play each other one more time this season which could be for all the marbles.

#8.HOUSTON TEXANS 6-3 (UP 3 SPOTS) The Texans moved up three spots and on their bye week. Lots of teams get in the top ten power rankings and do not want to stay. Houston right now is fully in control of their division. Indianapolis is sliding with a bad loss to the Dolphins. This Sunday with a big match up versus the Ravens we will see where this team is. Where this team measures up against an AFC team that has been taking the league by storm the last few weeks. Could the Ravens/Texans match up be an early playoff preview?

#9.KANSAS CITY 6-4 (DOWN 3 SPOTS) The return of Patrick Mahomes’ Chiefs should be moving up the charts, not behind. Mahomes was rock solid in his return from injury. What happened to the Kansas City defense? I know it’s not a top unit in the league. This unit was playing better of late. Titans had no problems running through them and prevailed last Sunday in Patrick Mahomes’ return game. It’s hard to win every shootout. Team with last possession of the game is the team that wins those types of games. With the Texans and Ravens on the rise in the AFC, and perhaps others.Chiefs will need to improve that defense or they will not get that far like they did last year in the playoffs.

#10.CAROLINA PANTHERS 5-4 (DOWN 1 SPOT) Was McCaffrey in the end zone for the tying touchdown in the last seconds in Green Bay? That I figured would be a tough game to go to Green Bay and pull out a victory. Panthers need to rebound quickly as the Falcons come to town. A rejuvenated Falcon squad that just beat the Saints. If Panthers want to make the playoffs, they need to string a few victories together. Look at Cam Newton still being paid by the Panthers and eyeballing future jobs for next season as he likes the Bears. I would stick a rusty ice pick through my eyeball if he was next year’s quarterbacks for the Bears. Can’t anybody see how this guy is? All he cares about is Cam. Plus he’s just a fantasy quarterback in my eyes.

#11.BUFFALO BILLS 6-3 (DOWN 1 SPOT) The Cleveland loss better not come back to haunt the Bills. That was a game they needed. You could say the Browns were due at some point. However last week was there for the Bills’ taking. Two missed field goals. Again this team refuses to run the ball more. The times they do run the ball, all their backs have a high average in yards per carry. This team should be a run first instead of having Josh Allen drop back and pass the ball most of the time. The defense again limiting a team to under 20 points. They need this game this Sunday versus the Dolphins. A loss will doom the Bills and a fan base that invaded Cleveland because they believe in this team.

BILLS MAFIA AT THEIR BEST

#12.OAKLAND RAIDERS 5-4 (UP 4 SPOTS) Raiders continue on the rise. Now they play their softest schedule of the year. The Raiders find themselves in the thick of things with the division as they trail the Chiefs by just one game. Plus they are in the mix in the wild card race as well. The Raiders defense should be talked about more. A unit coming in with young guys you’ve never heard of.

Maxx Crosby is one guy you should know about. He is from a smaller school and was drafted this year as he hails from Eastern Michigan. He’s playing with a high motor and is a guy that has been getting after the quarterback. All those draft picks the Raiders have stockpiled are paying off.

#13.INDIANAPOLIS COLTS 5-4 (DOWN 1 SPOT) You’d think with back up Brian Hoyer, the Colts should have been able to beat the Dolphins last Sunday. Colts now in a bad tailspin find themselves looking up at the Houston Texans who they handled not very long ago. Good news is Jacoby Brissett is back from his injury and will play behind center this Sunday. Hope the Colts can get Jacoby Brissett type of play before the Denver game. They won that game but ugly and Jacoby was not good. He will need to be better versus a Jacksonville team that is also desperate for a win. Another loss by the Colts, especially in a row like they’ve been doing as they’ve been walking this road, will hurt their chances for the playoffs.

#14.PHILADELPHIA EAGLES 5-4 (UP 1 SPOT) Eagles have been taking it easy on a bye week. They won two in a row previously. Now they face the New England Patriots. Can they relive some of that Superbowl magic they had versus them a few years back? Eagles are lucky the Cowboys are playing up and down like them. Plus having the Redskins and Giants as well in the division gives your team a very good chance of winning that crappy division and sneaking back into the playoffs like last year. A win this week could be the catapult to launch their confidence to a higher level. A run the table the rest of the way type of win.

#15.DALLAS COWBOYS 5-4 (DOWN 2 SPOTS) I give Jerry Jones credit for saying we will not be going to see Colin Kaepernick give a one man work out. Yes he already has a quarterback but probably is holding back words. Like Colin Kaepernick was awful three seasons ago, so why would that change this year?

Well these NFL owners are really perverts. Ask Mr. Kraft because he probably had this dream too. Maybe he had the Patriots uniform.

#16.TENNESSEE TITANS 5-5 (UP 3 SPOTS) Titans with a huge win versus the Kansas City Chiefs last Sunday. A much needed win to get back to the 500 mark in a very strong division. The Titans still have to leap frog two teams for the division title. They are 3-1 with Ryan Tannehill as the starter. Plus they get to their bye week with a win and have a chance to regroup and find a way to put together a string of victories when they come back in week 12.

#17.CLEVELAND BROWNS 4-6 (UP 4 SPOTS) Browns suddenly have clubbed their way to two wins in a row.

We know the Browns have a lot of talent. This is a team with a lot of meatheads as well. Yes, now they’ve finally won two games in a row. They lose their best defensive player in Myles Garrett for using Mason Rudolf’s helmet to beat Mason Rudolf with. Odell Beckham Jr. showing Mike Tomlin, the head coach of Pittsburgh, his razzle dazzle of not much. You should not yawn when a reporter asks about Odell coming into the division in the off season. Then Kareem Hunt who can knock a gal out in a hotel hallway and kick them while they’re down, played in his second game. He made some nice plays. Baker Mayfield looked sharp. Obviously all of the good, bad, and the disturbed is forgotten since your best defensive guy went bonkers.

Everyone will forget about one of the good ones the Browns do have. Joe Schobert’s performance on the field versus the Steelers was amazing.

Then Shenanigans plays a factor with only 20 ticks left. This Cleveland team reminds me of those stupid Cincinnati Bengal teams that were just creepy. Just a bunch of inmates that escaped the asylum. Freddie Kitchens is an awful head coach as well. He’s in over his head.

#18.PITTSBURGH STEELERS 5-5 (UP 4 SPOTS) Steelers won four in a row until Thursday night. Steelers got their asses handed to them on Thursday versus the Browns. This after beating the Rams on Sunday. Coming in, the Steeler offense has not been scoring a whole lot. They have been winning games, but the defense has been handling the heavy load. Steelers lost a few of their big play makers Thursday night. Their quarterback got his bell rung. Steelers are right now in the crossroads of their season. They can either use the Browns game and go on a rampage the rest of the season, or just crawl away, lick their wounds and call it a year. Wait for Big Ben to return. This will give Mike Tomlin his biggest test as a coach. Will his team walk on hot coals the rest of the way? Only fight I’ve seen from the Steelers was Maurkice Pouncey and he might not be available for three games. It’s now or never is my challenge to Steel town.

#19.LA RAMS 5-4 (DOWN 5 SPOTS) The Rams are officially pretenders.

The Rams are still encountering the Superbowl loss hangover. The wife left them. No hanky panky. Stuck dazed and confused laying on a couch, scratching their bums and wondering what happen. My question is: Is LA happy to have two crappy teams if they even remember the Chargers play there? Cities like St.Louis and San Diego have to be delighted with savage owners leaving town for the light of Hollywood. Fake fans and boobs.

#20.JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS 4-5 (SAME) In the battle of the porn stars as who is the quarterback for week 11 for the jag bags? Winner is…..

Nick Foles is the best part-time quarterback in the league. These are the weeks where Nick shines late in the season. Meanwhile Minshew will rub some oils over his emotions over losing his gig. My advice to Minshew is throw some boobs on it…

CURES ALL..

#21.ARIZONA CARDINALS 3-6-1 (DOWN 3 SPOTS) Since the Cardinals won three games in a row, seems like yesterday. Ever since being high up in the power rankings pole, they’ve been slowly climbing down them.

Nothing wrong with a slow ride.

#22.CHICAGO BEARS 4-5 (UP 2 SPOTS) Maybe turning off the TV’S in Bears HQ worked? Mitch Trubisky did not hear the noise from around the league talking about his failures, not his teammates. Last Sunday he looked his best all year. Looked like his old self from some of the good games he had in 2018. It was versus the Lions defense so the QB situation is still a problem. You know things have gone bad when Cam Newton is sending his resume to Halas Hall for next year.

#23.DETROIT LIONS 3-5-1 (DOWN 7 SPOTS) No Matthew Stafford so this team can call it a year. Not sure how long Stafford will be out, but this injury will doom this team. The defense is horrible. Isn’t that what the fat man in the beard specializes in?

Mitch Trubisky looked all pro last week against Patrica’s defense. Never pick a coach from the Belichick tree should be the new rule around the league. Send the beard back to whatever Empire planet he came from. Cut down the beanstalk so this Giant fat hairy man does not screw up more teams.

#24.LA CHARGERS 4-6 (DOWN 1 SPOT)

The story of the 2019 LA Chargers.

Could this year be the end of Phillip Rivers? Will the Chargers have to wait until Phillip Rivers’ boys can play offensive line to protect him when he closes in on 50 years old? Time to pull the plug on Rivers. Week 11 of 2019 is what I got, doctor. Tag him and bag him.

Looks like the toe tag is the Superbowl ticket Phillip Rivers never got.

#25.DENVER BRONCOS 3-6 (SAME) Broncos were on a bye week. If Brandon Allen does well for his second NFL start, will John Elway insist Drew Lock should still play? Or will John Elway and the Broncos make a trade for Cam Newton to think he has solved the quarterback position for good? Too bad Elway can not find a quality quarterback. Maybe he should just clone himself and go back to the future to do it.

#26.TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS 3-6 (UP 1 SPOT) Finally a revenge game we got right. Bruce Arians leading the Buccaneers over the Cardinals, his former team he coached was not heard around the world.

Sometimes you get lucky and win one for the coach. Maybe Jameis Winston has a heart after all.

The Grinch’s heart is still bigger than Jameis’. Thought we had a Christmas miracle brewing.

#27.ATLANTA FALCONS 2-7 (UP 2 SPOTS) On any given Sunday anybody can have the day of their lives. The Saints coming off a bye week found out the hard way. The Falcons shocked the Saints in New Orleans in the dome. The Saints were one of the hottest teams in the league. How does something like this occur with a bad Atlanta defense?

Maybe Atlanta found a secret formula to beat the Saints. They had a shiny new kicker in place. Matt Ryan was back. Perhaps the Houston Astros taught the Falcons how to steal their signs. Just hope the league does not catch on for the Saints wise. No worries plenty of referees will help stop the Saints before they reach the Superbowl.

#28.WASHINGTON REDSKINS 1-8 (SAME) Dwanye Haskins has the green light for the rest of the season to take the Redskins starting quarterback job for himself. Redskins figure if he can do it they can immediately address the issue with someone that in the draft or free agency. Haskins lost in his first start versus the Bills two weeks ago. The Skins had the bye week to work on Haskins and come up with a play book around his talents. He has a chance to shine against a bad Jets team this Sunday. A game that could give this young man some confidence moving forward.

#29.MIAMI DOLPHINS 2-7 (UP 1 SPOT) The Miami Dolphins are suddenly no push over as they upset the Colts last week. Even though Brian Hoyer was filling in for Jacoby Brissett, the Colts sill had plenty of chances to win this game. Ryan Fitzpatrick is one of the streakiest quarterbacks of all-time. One week he can look Cutler like. Then the following week he can look like Dan Marino, of course with out the isatoner gloves. Teams better be careful because Fitzmagic and the Dolphins could ruin some playoff hopes if you don’t take them seriously.

#30.NEW YORK JETS 2-7 (UP 1 SPOT) The Jets win the Rotten Apple bowl and now they get a free dinner at the local Sizzler. Can Adam Gase, head coach of the New York Jets, be one and done after only 1 season? Sam Darnold bought himself a Casper sleep friendly mattress.

Ye,s Casper is the friendly ghost as Sam is feeling better about his ghost phobia. Now he’s having problems with the monsters in his closet.

That does not look like John Goodman and Billy Crystal.

#31.NEW YORK GIANTS 2-8 (DOWN 5 SPOTS) The Giants lose in the rotten apple bowl versus the Jets. They have been sent to the back of the bus. As they continue to plummet in the rankings. Everyone else in the bottom of the barrel of lately has shown some life except the Giants and the Bumbles. Put head coach Pat Shurmur on the list of candidates for black Monday. Daniel Jones, a bright spot for the Giants, broke a record for most completions as a Giants rookie quarterback. Eli Manning refused a farewell start.

#32.CINCINNATI BENGALS 0-9 (SAME) REPORT:BENGALS SLAYINGS ALL OVER THE FIELD

Investigators have ruled out Andy Dalton since he was at home on the bench from this terrible atrocity that occurred from a group that call themselves the Ravens.

LOOKS LIKE MYLES GARRETT NEEDS A SNICKERS BAR

Last night the Steelers and Browns squared off at Thursday night football. Both are division rivals in the AFC North. Both teams needing a victory to stay alive in the playoff race. Both teams chasing the Baltimore Ravens in their division. The Steelers came into Cleveland with a 4 game winning streak. While the Browns broke a long losing streak last Sunday. You know both teams don’t like each other in this heated rivalry. Whoever won this game, it would be a well earned fought out victory, no matter what the score was. Browns would prevail 21-7 in a game that had the hard hitting. That had the injuries piling up with even an ejection. Concussions. At the end of the game it turned crazy in one of the wildest brawls in NFL football history.

With about 20 ticks left on the clock, the Steelers found themselves in third and long down by two touchdowns. Perhaps conceding at this time would have been the better idea to what takes place. Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolf dropped back to pass. He throws the ball and then is brought down by Cleveland’s best defensive player, Myles Garrett. On the ground Mason Rudolf thinks it is a late hit as he got the pass off which was completed only a minimum gain. Mason retaliates as he dug his fingers under Myles’ helmet. Maybe to try to rip the helmet off his head. Perhaps just tugging on it like a face mask grab. This is when Myles Garrett erupts as he rips off Mason Rudolph’s helmet and then used the helmet as a weapon on Mason’s head.

Eventually Steelers linemen are able to knock Myles Garrett down. Maurkice Pouncey, Steelers lineman, gets a few punches in and then proceeds to kick Myles when he is on the ground. As any offensive lineman would do to protect his quarterback.

Then Cleveland Browns’ Larry Ogunjobi shoves Mason Rudolf to the ground as Mason has no helmet on and is trying to fight back with his head ringing. Just imagine. Eventually they were able to break it up. The game still had eight seconds left. Ejections immediately happened.

Myles Garrett will be suspended for the rest of the year. He will face fines and the suspension which may go into 2020. Don’t feel bad for him because this is not his first rodeo. He punched a Titan the very first week. The Jets back up quarterback ,he broke his leg and he is out for the season.

Larry Ogunjobi will get one game for his part in shoving Mason Rudolf to the ground. Steelers’ Maurkice Pouncey for the Steelers will get three games for kicking and punching Myles Garrett. Other suspensions will be coming as well including for Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolf.

Steelers quarterbacks continue to take the punishment this year. Big Ben Roethlisberger, who was knocked out of the game early this season. He is out the rest of the year. Then Mason Rudolf who was knocked into Tomorrow Land in a game early in the season. The cart did not work so they had to carry Mason off the field as he was concussed and they took his face mask off.

He looked like he did not know where he was. Then yesterday to get whacked in the head with a helmet. Some say they should bring assault charges on Myles Garrett who apologized later on for losing his cool. If Mason Rudolf has problems later in life, we know these two hits were the cause.

Last night’s game reminded me of a hockey brawl. The NHL game with Marty McSorley taking out Donald Brashear with his stick. Cracking him on the side of the head from behind.

This was definitely a game that did get out of hand. Even before that brawl, a few plays that were helmet to helmet were just jarring hits. Not sure either team is going to make the playoffs. I know the Steelers were hot coming in winning four in a row. I just don’t think they have that type of offense to get themselves a wild card. The Browns have been on life support most of the year. They came to life last Sunday breaking a long losing streak. The Browns would have to run the table to snag a wild card. Without their best defensive guy, their chances decreased. It would have been hard even if that brawl did not occur. This could affect Mason Rudolf’s play the rest of the way as a hit to the head in any sport or assault, whatever you want to call it, is hard to come back from.

These incidents don’t happen very often to this level of crazy. Luckily nobody was seriously hurt or even killed which would have been tragic for the game of Football. At times I think these coaches have a responsibility to discipline their own guys and clean up the game. Both coaches yesterday are idiots. I would not blame them for that incident because it happened in the heat of the moment. It’s a violent game. Players are angered, amped up, programmed and wired for violence. What I mean by violence is the appropriate, hitting, blocking, tackling and doing them by the rules of the game, not bringing wrestling to the gridiron like the XFL.

But both these coaches Tomlin and Kitchens are not the brightest in the league. Mike Tomlin with the Steelers had a problem a few years back about what they should do for the National Anthem. Freddie Kitchens runs a team that is football stupid with penalties. Remember the very first game of the season, 18 penalties alone on his team. Been going on all year. The NFL better do a good job and bring justice to the players that did wrong, and all of them including Pittsburgh quarterback. Plus get a guy like Myles Garrett some professional help for being a raging maniac. In real life this guy would be behind bars for the rest of his life like the animal he is.

BEARS NEED TO GO-FISH IN LAKE QUARTERBACK

Next season in the NFL, plenty of quarterbacks will find new homes. The draft will have a few top notch choices in the first round, but not as many like they did the last few seasons. Lots of young talent were thrown to the wolves this season and have done well which means the end of the road in that city for the veteran. In some years, needing a quarterback was very hard as the lake was dried up. Nothing but watered down bread in the draft. You had to razzle dazzle for  your man behind center from a trade if you were lucky. Next season the fishing permits will be printed up in stacks as teams will be ready with their fancy baits to try to catch an old, new to them, signal caller behind center. What will the Chicago Bears do?

Right now the Chicago Bears are dealing with a first round bust as their man behind center. Most experts think that Mitch Trubisky is the official lemon of the draft in 2017. A draft during which he was picked before Deshaun Watson and Patrick Mahomes. Yes, I picture Homer Simpson saying DOH!! Trubisky looked good last Sunday versus the Lions. Can’t play the Lions every week. Mitch is still a young guy. Can he be fixed? Bears have to be careful because they are walking the ledge in this situation. Do you trust Matt Nagy as that QB development type of coach? One choice is the Bears throw Mitch Trubisky back in the lake next season. Giving up on a number one draft pick is not good. But hanging on to a number one draft pick too long is very bad. If they can set him right and keep him, the team just can’t name him the starter in 2020. Open competition or Mitch is the back up. The defensive unit window is closing so Bears need to act quickly.

In this lake of quarterbacks, there are lots of fish you would not want swimming in your pond. Especially if you want a whole new set of problems behind center, other than what you had this season. It is buyer beware. Some troubled play callers that will sucker any franchise and bleed them like they already did to others.

WHAT’S SWIMMING IN THE LAKE NEXT SEASON?

Cam Newton of the Carolina Panthers, who’s a fantasy stat quarterback. Led the Panthers to the Superbowl but lost. Key fumble late in that game that he does not pounce on to keep his team driving to take the lead. It was the Superbowl. Bad with reporters and I say cancer in the locker room. Sure he puts up big stats.  Plus he may just be a broken cookie. He claims he is Superman, but I would say GO FISH. Panthers would probably dump him on the cheap. Does Bad News Bears ring a bell? Great set of movies.

Jameis Winston of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This guy is a bad citizen, ask any UBER driver. He reminds me of a black Jay Cutler. Coaches hired and fired like a factory line in Tampa Bay. Known for the pick sixes. Thinks he is the smartest in the room. Has all the weapons in place, but still can not win in Florida. Where he played college ball and won. Shows no leadership skills. Emotional does not care type of ‘tude. If Bruce Arians can’t get the best out of this guy, why would Matt Nagy be different? I would GO FISH. UBER drivers in Chicago are breathing a sigh of relief.

Phillip Rivers looks like he has aged ten years from last season. Talking quarterback years, not human years. Like dog years. His contract is up so he may be let go by the Chargers. Interceptions in the red zone would drive Bears fans nuts if we signed him. Besides he will take a job closer to his family in San Diego, rather than come to Chicago. He commutes to San Diego from LA . Just does not make sense for either party. I would GO FISH. I could picture him and his minions living in R.Kelly’s mansion. He will not need it where he may be going.

Colin Kaepernick is having a try out soon. He has not played in three years. He brings instant drama. PASS. I would hit him in the head with the rubber mallet and feed him to other fish.

Marcus Mariota is another number one draft pick that may be bust. He is riding the bench right now in Tennessee. The Titans turned to Ryan Tannehill and he is 3-1 and not having problems running that offense. Bears are down this road right now with Trubisky. Do we need two projects? I would pass on this project as well. Don’t trust Matt Nagy getting the best out of him. GO FISH. I can see the Bears kicking the tires on him.

What about landing Nick Foles from Jacksonville? Gardner Minshew is doing so well I can see the Jags wanting to trade Foles who is paid a lot of money. Free up the salary cap to improve other positions on their roster. Nick Foles has that injury history which bothers me. Do we have another quarterback to play half the season and then turn it over to Nick Foles in the second half and the playoffs? Best playoff quarterback available, which I like. He was injured in the very first game he started for the Jaguars as well. This is not a part time gig the Bears are looking for.  You have to pass because the Bears do not have the draft capital to land this prize. GO FISH..Best part time guy in the league though.

If the Bears could work out a package deal in a trade to the Steelers or the Jaguars for their up and coming quarterback, it would be an idea. Big Ben comes back next season for the Steelers. If the Jaguars turn things over to Nick Foles. Do the Bears have enough to land a Mason Rudolph or Garner Minshew? You would have to determine whether both guys are future stars in the league? If they are, you are back on track. However do the Bears touch them and then they turn to stone. Plus it will take a king’s ransom to pry these guys away from both teams. Who knows what the Steelers and Jaguars might be thinking as it could be the end of the line for those veterans. Minshew and Rudolf could be their starters next year. I would say GO FISH.  Bears would end up with no draft picks for a decade to walk down the road with these teams.

The next two quarterbacks I would say the Bears should go for. GO FISH and bring them into the boat.

Teddy Bridgewater who is a free agent. You’re not giving up anybody or any more draft picks to get him. He commands big money and years. Obviously he is healthy. He threw the ball well for the Saints. Can Teddy play in another system instead of the Saints? Matt Nagy was hired because he had a friendly system designed for quarterbacks. I like how Teddy Bridgewater played as he took what was given to him on the field. He did not make the stupid mistakes. He has the accuracy to throw down the field 20 yards or more which will open up the entire offense. With the Bears defense all’s your asking is the offense to score in the 20’s each game.  On a bad day, put up some more points.

I like the Red Rifleman from Cincinnati as well. This season he has been benched. However the Bengals offensive line is in shambles. Plus many of Andy’s play makers have been injured. Way too many interceptions this season because I believe all the pressure came on his shoulders to do something to make a play. Plus being pressured all day long, you’re going to throw that ball to the other team. He still had nine TD passes in 8 games. His career numbers are much different as he has 197 TD passes to 112 interceptions. He  is very durable as he plays most of the games each season in his career. Strong arm. He has guided teams to playoffs more than once. His track record in the playoffs not too good. New scenery is what this guy needs.

With a great defense in place, Bears need a Andy Dalton or Teddy Bridgewater next season. The Bears need to address their offensive line for anybody they get. Get a new tight end is a must do. I like the rest of the play makers which should intrigue a Dalton or Bridgewater. Matt Nagy has to get better at calling plays. Or he should hand off the duties to somebody else. Bears can let Mitch Trubisky be the back up and let him watch for a season to clear his head. Learn more like he should have done in the original plan during the Fox ERA. I would also draft a quarterback in the later rounds and try to develop the kid. This has been the Bears’ hardest position to solve since Sid Luckman. You can say Jim McMahon. He was the leader in their only Superbowl they have. Injuries cut short McMahon’s tenure in Chicago. After that, some good stuff behind center that did not last very long but was overshadowed by nothing but hot garbage. The GM of the Bears, Ryan Pace, has one more shot to get this right. To find a quick fix that will work behind center without dismantling this team completely. All their jobs should be riding on this off season. Don’t get swindled again selling the cow for a few rotten beans.

RAVENS AT BENGALS

Ravens took down the Evil Empire in the Patriots and Tom Brady. The Bengals are starting a rookie quarterback. In the name of the father, son, and Holy Ghost to him.

OUR PICK:RAVENS

BILLS AT BROWNS

Browns look like they are calling it a season. I can see the Browns just going through the motions in this one. I see a big game out of the Bills’ running back, Motor they call him. Devin Singletary. Bills defense quiets the DAWG pound.

OUR PICK:BILLS

LIONS AT BEARS

Stafford out with back injury. I would have went Lions originally. Bears find a way in an ugly win. A much needed win. Can someone please turn off the television?

OUR PICK:BEARS

GIANTS AT JETS

The rotten apple bowl. The battle of New York on the Jersey Shore. Sam Darnold still seeing ghosts. Still recovering from having the clap. Giants prevail in a shootout from the start. Then Giants hold on in the second half.

OUR PICK:GIANTS

CHIEFS AT TITANS

The return of Patrick Mahomes..

OUR PICK CHIEFS:

CARDINALS AT BUCCANEERS

I’m going Buccaneers because of Bruce Arians being the X head coach of the Cardinals. I know this is not a locker room speech, just win for the coach. Don’t think Arizona is upset with Arians retiring and then resurfacing in Tampa Bay. These things just happen when facing a former team.

OUR PICK BUCCANEERS

FALCONS AT SAINTS

Matt Ryan is back for the Falcons . Does he play defense? Alvin Kamara is back as well and should have a huge day with the Falcon defense.

OUR PICK: SAINTS

DOLPHINS AT COLTS

Brian Hoyer fills in for the injured Brissett and Colts rebound from last week versus the Steelers. Dolphins winning streak comes to an end.

OUR PICK:COLTS

RAMS AT STEELERS

This contest we will find out who is actually a contender and who is a pretender. Rams will remain a contender for at least two more weeks and then fall off the map with the Superbowl loss hangover.

OUR PICK:RAMS

PANTHERS AT PACKERS

Packers will not be hung over this week. I think they rebound from the Charger loss in a big way. Plus being at home with no night life in Green Bay.

OUR PICK:PACKERS

VIKINGS AT COWBOYS

Kirk Cousins does not do well in prime time games. Cowboys are familiar with Cousins from the Skins all those years. Cowboys are at home. Signs of the Minnesota second half fall off the map losing streak in progress.

OUR PICK:COWBOYS

THE MONDAY NIGHT GAME

SEAHAWKS AT 49ERS

49ers finally will be tested by a very good Seahawk team. Russell Wilson finds a way and beats his former teammate “Dick Head” Sherman. 49ers suffer their first loss of the season.

OUR PICK: SEAHAWKS

WEEK 10 NFL POWER RANKINGS DONE THE WILD SHAMROCK WAY

IT’S HAPPY COBRA WEEK AT THE WILD SHAMROCK

THE BARONESS IS ROLLING OUT THE NFL POWER RANKINGS. THOUGHT SHE WAS ALL ABOUT THE DESTRO INSTEAD OF THE COBRA COMMANDER. WE DO KNOW ANTONIO BROWN DOES NOT STAND A CHANCE WITH HER OR THE LEAGUE. WEEK TEN GO!!!!

#1.NEW ORLEANS SAINTS 7-1 (UP 1 SPOT) Finally we have some movement at the top of the power rankings. Saints move up as the Evil Empire tumbled in week nine. Saints get better over the bye week with the return of Alvin Kamara. Just need a Simon and a Theodore and the Saints have the wishbone Chipmunks in the backfield. Drew Brees being back and a rest after a game under his belt, is huge. The defense of the Saints has been one of the best in the league. I see them continue their mission for the Superbowl in the second half.

#2.SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS 8-0 (UP 1 SPOT) Monday night football is the game we’ve been waiting for. 49ers versus Seahawks. This game will tell me if the 49ers have that grit to be one of the top tier teams in the NFL. Obviously its a game versus a division rival. It’s a game versus another NFC power house. It will be by far the biggest test of the season for the 49ers. Those 8 victories so far… how many can you say are great teams? Panthers perhaps. Are the Rams the same team from last year? They’ve been winning lately against garbage teams. Just look at what happened to the Patriots last week.

#3.BALTIMORE RAVENS 6-2 (UP 6 SPOTS)

When you knock out the Patriots you are moving up the power rankings. I think of Lamar Jackson as Omar from the HBO show the Wire because of the way he plays on the field. In the show they know Omar is coming for them with a shotgun. On the football field you know Lamar Jackson is coming right at you. The Ravens defense giving Tom Brady the discomfort the whole game, was priceless.

#4.NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS 8-1 (DOWN 3 SPOTS) Finally the Patriots played a tougher opponent instead of that weak ass schedule they’ve been riding the whole season. Patriots, as you can see, left too many players on the field Sunday night versus the Ravens.

Patriots head to bye week with a blemish on their record. It’s a shame they were not playing this week, I think they might get stung again by whoever. They will retreat and be back unfortunately with reinforcements and probably get back on track. Patriots after a bye week are almost impossible to beat. We do know the Patriots are not invincible and have weaknesses.

#5.SEATTLE SEAHAWKS 6-2 (SAME) I keep the Seahawks in the same position as last week with the struggle versus the Buccaneers. Seahawks at home, once was a very tough place to play if you were an opponent. Now teams waltz in and win or almost beat the Seahawks on their home turf. Seahawks had to make a huge comeback to beat the Buccaneers last Sunday which took over time to do so. You have to give Russell Wilson credit leading his team back in that game. Russell Wilson is becoming like Michael Jordan, you can’t count him out even if things are looking very ugly. This guy finds a way. Big game against the 49ers this weekend. Playing Dickie Sherman, X legion of boom, makes this game very interesting which is already a great sounding game with two division rivals facing off. Two NFC power houses facing off. We will see if Russell Wilson can live up to the Michael Jordan comparison.

#6.KANSAS CITY CHIEFS 6-3 (UP 2 SPOTS) Andy Reid amazes me. Matt Moore has a lot of experience, especially as a back up quarterback. Yes, you can say this is not his first rodeo. He has been there and done that. Matt Moore was out of the game. He had another career going on. He almost beat the Packers in a start. Then he finds a way versus a tough Viking team. Sure it’s a last second walk off kick that sinks the purple people eaters. Matt Moore got the team down the field to set that up. The Chiefs are getting healthy with some of their play makers back on the field. The best news is it looks like Patrick Mahomes will be back versus the Titans this Sunday. Sunny skies in Kansas City right now.

#7.GREEN BAY PACKERS 7-2 (DOWN 3 SPOTS) You lost to the LA Chargers last Sunday and Aaron Rodgers claims the decisions that were made in the last 48 hours were not good ones. Packers fall to the Chargers because of the LA night life.

Definitely not the way the Chargers have played all year. Green Bay is a small town. Perhaps the gals in the local establishments swinging around the poles ate too many cheese curds.

Everyone knows Rogers has a foot fetish. Hollywood has the big lights and the long legged gals. The night club life football players love. Will this game linger into Carolina visiting Green Bay this weekend?

#8.MINNESOTA VIKINGS 6-3 (DOWN 2 SPOTS) Vikings fall to the Chiefs in a hard fought game to the very end from a field goal. Luckily Green Bay was too hung over versus the Chargers as they still remain one game behind the cheese curds. If they could have won in Kansas City, that would be huge with the Green Bay loss. Now they face the Dallas Cowboys in the big game on Sunday night. Without their top receiver, Adam Thielen. This puts big pressure on Kirk Cousins as big games are not quite his cup of tea. Another loss could put this Viking a in tailspin they may not be able to get out of. Pressure cooker definitely.

#9.CAROLINA PANTHERS 5-3 (UP 1 SPOT)

Cam Newton is officially done for the year. Is this what most fans will remember? This cry baby for the fumble in the Superbowl? To come that close. Are Cam Newton’s days done in Carolina? The keys now belong to Kyle Allen who’s driving the Panthers to the playoffs this season. After being destroyed by the 49ers, the Panthers with their rookie quarterback rebounded nicely and beat the Titans last week to improve their record to 5-3. That’s 4-1 for the young rookie quarterback. Now they get another big test invading Green Bay which will be a huge fish to mount if they win that one.

#10.BUFFALO BILLS 6-2 (UP 1 SPOT) Buffalo Bills quickly rebounded from their loss versus the Eagles. Not a huge day on the offense, only 24 points. I did like the Bills feeding Motor more. Devin Motor Singletary, the rookie tailback, is a true playmaker they have. On the ground the rookie rushed for 95 yards with a touchdown. Also had 45 yards with 3 catches. The defense did its job in a nice effort bouncing back from the Eagles’ bad day at the office. Still don’t like these bad teams hanging in the game too long. They need to finish them when they are on the ropes.

They need to fatality their opponents. I want more points from the offense as well. I don’t think this team is a fraud like some say with their easy schedule. They have talent. I know they will beat a good team as soon as the schedule has an opponent.

#11.HOUSTON TEXANS 6-3 (UP 1 SPOT) Texans went all the way to London to beat up the Jaguars. Now they go on their bye week with a pretty good half of the season in the books. They are in first place in the AFC south with the Colts loss. Colts starting quarterback Jacoby Brissett got hurt. Will that be an injury that lingers the rest of the way for their rival.?

#12.INDIANAPOLIS COLTS 5-3 (DOWN 5 SPOTS) Not sure the Steelers are going to be a playoff team. They beat the Colts last week with their backup quarterback. Colts lost Jacoby Brissett early in this game. Brian Hoyer came in and did well. He is a capable back up QB and can keep the Colts afloat, especially versus the Dolphins coming up this Sunday. I worry about the injury to Ty Hilton, the number one receiver for the Colts. Colts have overcome a lot so far this season. Not sure if they can overcome Brissett and Hilton being out a long period of time.

#13.DALLAS COWBOYS 5-3 (UP 2 SPOTS) Dallas came off the bye week and destroyed the Giants on Monday Night. We all know Dallas has no problems with divisional opponents. Especially the Giants whose defense is one of the worst in the league. This Sunday night we get a good measuring stick on where the Cowboys are at when they face the Vikings. Even though Kirk Cousins was a divisional foe for years with the Skins. However Cousins has a whole new team around him. One team will be up in the top ten while the other will be in the teens in next week’s power rankings after the Vikings and Cowboys square off.

#14.LA RAMS 5-3 (SAME) I’m curious on what the Rams will do this week versus the Steelers. This is a game to see who is a pretender and who is a contender. Steelers are rolling. Only weeks ago I would say this is another easy one for the Rams. Plus to see what kind of game plan Sean McVay will have coming out of the bye week. Great coaches do very well coming out of their bye weeks. Look at Bill Belichick and Andy Reid. This will be yet another big game in week ten.

#15. PHILADELPHIA EAGLES 5-4 (UP 2 SPOTS) No team climbs up and down the power rankings like the Philadelphia Eagles. Every time they have their backs against the wall, they respond. Weeks ago Dallas throttled the Eagles. Fans were burning Carson Wentz’s jersey. Those Philadelphia fans get heated up. Now Eagles win two in a row. They head to their bye week 5-4 and things are looking up right now for this team.

#16.OAKLAND RAIDERS 5-4 (UP 4 SPOTS) Look out black hole you have a Chucky in the crowd.

Raiders have won two games in a row. They took out the Lions last Sunday. Then they beat the Chargers on Thursday night. Derrick Carr is playing smart with the football. Josh Jacobs is a beast. The defense of the Raiders has lots of young guys stepping up. Made Phillip Rivers look bad especially at the end when the Chargers had plenty of time to drive down the field to set up a winning field goal. They made Rivers miserable with the pass rush. Raiders have their easy part of their schedule coming up. This team is on the rise. Still think too many penalties with this group. They will need to clean that up.

#17.DETROIT LIONS 3-4-1 (DOWN 4 SPOTS) This team should have a winning record. Bad break after bad break this season. Like to see more from the Lions defense especially the head coach came from the Empire as defensive minded. To me it’s a shame the defense has regressed from last year in which Matthew Stafford is having one of his best seasons in his career. You can probably say that this team’s season is over already. Especially with the Vikings and Packers so far ahead of them in the division race. The wild card is too many teams to jump over as well. If they lose to the Bears this week, they are toast for the season. They need to win a lot in a row to even have a chance.

#18.ARIZONA CARDINALS 3-5-1 (DOWN 2 SPOTS) Cardinals have an interesting game versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in week ten. Cardinals have lost two in a row. They played their opponents very tough. Before that, they won three in a row. Arizona faced their old head coach in Bruce Arians. Cardinals I’m sure do not have a grudge match against him as it is mostly a different team. This game could be important for Kyle Murray’s development and confidence. Breaking losing streaks is huge for young quarterback and the team overall.

#19.TENNESSEE TITANS 4-5 (UP 2 SPOTS) Even though the Titans lost last week, I still have them moving up two spots. I like the way they have been playing with Ryan Tannehill behind center. This Sunday will not be good for them as they face Kansas City with the possible return of Patrick Mahomes. The Titans division has gotten better so the old way of just feasting on division teams en route to the playoffs is far over. They have talent to knock off a good team or two. They need to string some victories together quickly or this season will be over in a blink of an eye.

#20.JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS 4-5 (DOWN 1 SPOT) Jacksonville was always rumored to be the team out of the “States.” They seem destined to London, England. Perhaps you can chalk that up as another failure in the Jacksonville resume. The Chargers are the favorites now. Jacksonville new home, now the old home, since they lost last Sunday to a division rival the Texans. Now they have a quarterback controversy. The world has change when you think anybody would ever say that about Jacksonville. The Jags have a bye week. When they come back will Nick Foles return to the field? They paid him a lot of money in the off season to come to Jacksonville. Do you still go with Gardner Minshew? We find out when Dirk Diggler and Nick the Dick square off in practice on the strip pole in Jacksonville practice.

#21.CLEVELAND BROWNS 2-6 (DOWN 3 SPOTS) GOOD GRIEF!!!!

The Browns have been a huge disappointment this season with all the hopes. With all the off season moves. It’s not like the Browns made the playoffs last season. The team did play very well in the second half in hopes that would carry over. Too many big egos on this team. They are all bickering at each other. You have a coach that is in far too deep without a life preserver. Soon the talk around this team will be, “wait until next year.” Last year’s running back Duke Johnson has to be feeling very good as he wanted out of Cleveland. So he was traded to Houston. He wanted out with too many running backs as they signed Kareem Hunt. He was called names by his quarterback as he was shipped out. Now in Houston, Duke Johnson will see what the playoffs are all about. The whole organization is a Charlie Brown and Lucy must be a Raven or Steeler fan.

#22.PITTSBURGH STEELERS 4-4 (UP 2 SPOTS)

MIKE TOMLIN’S COACHING HIS QUARTERBACK MASON RUDOLF

Look out, Steelers have Mason Rudolf guiding their team to the playoffs. A big upset versus the Colts last Sunday. Steelers have won three in a row. Finally can say the Steelers defense is playing much better these days, which last season was not the case.

#23.LA CHARGERS 4-6 (UP 2 SPOTS) Could the Chargers be moving to London? How would that drive home be for Phillip Rivers who still drives home from LA to San Diego. Chargers are a team without a town. They could be like a traveling carnival or circus. Chargers tried to give the Bears a game a few weeks back. Bears were stubborn. Then Chargers beat the Packers in LA. Packers claimed they were too tired. Perhaps hung over. Who Knows because Rodgers always has an excuse. People were thinking Chargers are alive and run the table the rest of the way. No Dice on Thursday night versus the Raiders. Phillip Rivers looks awful. More interceptions. Interceptions in the red zone. If you move to England I might leave Rivers somewhere between LA and San Diego. He still leads the league in kids.

#24.CHICAGO BEARS 3-5 (DOWN 2 SPOTS) The Bears saga continues to get worst as this 2019 season is only half way through. Mitch Trubisky is feeling the pressure. He wanted all the TVs turned off at Bears HQ Halas Hall, saying it’s been a distraction of the negative stuff people have been saying. Most of what people are discussing is the bad quarterback play which is his part in this flop of a season. Last Sunday, the Bears were held to nine yards in the first half by the Eagles. Bears did come back in that contest. The defense could not make a few key stops at the end of the game. This thing with the Bears going south is not all Mitch’s fault. I have to blame the genius playcaller head coach Matt Nagy. He not using Mitch’s strengths at quarterback. His play calling with the lack of running the ball has been just plain stupid. Running the ball is the quarterback’s best friend. I would give Mitch a few weeks off and throw the backup in, Chase Daniel. If the damage is already done you’re going to continue to march the kid out there until he ends up losing all of his confidence. Thought Nagy was some kind of QB whisperer. Not seeing it.

#25.DENVER BRONCOS 3-6 (UP 2 SPOTS) The NFL has a Swiss Allen Wrench in the league. Buffalo has Josh Allen. Carolina has Kyle Allen. Broncos joined in the Allen fun with their own and they call him Brandon Allen.

Brandon Allen, 27 years old, was drafted in 2016 from Jacksonville out of Arkansas. He has bounced around to the Rams, but made his first start last Sunday versus the Browns. The thing about Allens are they seem to win NFL games. Not too bad in his first game slinging the rock 12-20 for 193 yards and two TD passes. He protected the football. He showed some mobility and good pocket awareness. But the most important thing in my eyes is he energized his team around him, which Joe Flacco and the great Jay Cutler can’t do. Top draft pick Drew Lock might be the future and will probably see action in the upcoming weeks. But Brandon could make it tough for them to take off the field. Look what Kyle Allen is doing in Carolina, filling in for the broken cookie.

#26.NEW YORK GIANTS 2-7 (DOWN 3 SPOTS) Blown out on Monday Night Football by division rival Cowboys definitely gets the toe tag put on. Now before they close the doors on your season, you may have one game to make this season a tad respectable. A tad is the words I’m using because this season has been hot garbage especially on the defensive side of the ball. The Giants brass have done nothing to improve that side of the ball in last few years. Week ten match up is the ROTTEN APPLE BOWL

The battle of New York’s finest. Not the Police department, but the football teams. This could be a new bowl game every year as both teams play like a junior college team. The fans get to throw the rotten apples at the losing team. Turn this into an all-weekend fest ever year. Eli Manning could throw out the ceremonial rotten apple as the official coin toss. Too bad this game was not played on Halloween weekend. It could have been Ghosts versus Goblins in Sam Darnold’s eyes.

#27.TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS 2-6 (DOWN 1 SPOT) Last week, Tampa Bay Buccaneers had the Seattle Seahawks on the ropes. They built a commanding lead. Then Seattle came marching back in a high scoring affair in the 4th quarter and tied the game. This is the third game the Buccaneers had a lead in the 4th quarter and blew it. It explains the 2 wins. Seattle ends up winning this game and scoring 40 points off what is supposed to be a better defense than last year. Buccaneers have some nice pieces on this roster already in place. A few draft picks and a couple free agents can probably turn this team around. Do you go with a quarterback change? Buccaneers could get a good draft pick and veterans will be available through free agency. This week Buccaneers play Arian’s old team he was head coach for in Arizona. Two teams in the same boat just missing some pieces and having some nice pieces in place.

#28.WASHINGTON REDSKINS 1-8 (SAME) Dwayne Haskins made his first NFL start last week in Buffalo. He went 15-22 passing for 144 yards. No touchdown passes and no interceptions on a very good defense. Redskins still lost the game as three field goals is nothing to write home to mom about. I keep the Skins at 28 because the defense kept them in the game. Plus the defense has been playing well the last few weeks. The good news is if Dwayne Haskins does not work out for you… the Skins will definitely have a high draft choice to correct the mistake if it is a bust of a pick. Looks like the relationship with the pro bowler left tackle, Trent Williams, has ended for good. Williams who has not played all year was placed on the non-football related illness list which means he will not be being paid. Players that work the trenches in the game of football don’t like when you take their money. Even though the Redskins have a case. But they burned the bridge as Williams will never wear the indian head again. You might not even be able to get something back in trade now and this team needs draft picks.

#29.ATLANTA FALCONS 1-7 (UP 1 SPOT) Falcons have been very busy on their bye week. They have a secret weapon that is about to unfold for the second half of the season. A Younghoe Koo. Sounds like a North Korean ballistic missile. Younghoe Koo is the team’s new kicker and he is, wait for it, LEGENDARY.

Former Atlanta Legend. He kicked for the Legends in the spring league, the AAF. Which went bankrupt. Koo played for the Chargers in 2017. Falcons cut long time veteran Matt Bryant. Falcons could have been busy trading off pieces for the future. Perhaps firing their head coach. The new kicker will definitely have this team back Superbowl bound.

#30.MIAMI DOLPHINS 1-7 (UP 2 SPOTS) This is the first time of the season we have the Miami Dolphins out of the basement of the power rankings.

The Dolphins have been locked away in the basement longer than the Gimp. Fitzmagic always finds a way to escape. Former Jet. Former half the league quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick takes out one of his former teams as he leads the Dolphins to their first victory of the year. Ryan Fitzpatrick will lose games however he can win games. When he gets red hot he lights up the score board. Still is the best all-time quarterback ever to play from the Ivy league circuit as he went to Harvard.

#31.NEW YORK JETS 1-7 (DOWN 2 SPOTS) The Jets were SLIMED last Sunday versus the Dolphins.

So is this how Sam Darnold caught the clap weeks ago? Adam Gase now head coach of the New York Jets got beat by his former team where he was head coach of the Dolphins. Yes, the rebuilding Dolphins. What has Adam Gase achieved in this league as a coach? The one year as the Bears Offensive Coordinator, he got the best out of Jay Cutler. Jay Cutler did not work out well in Miami for him, the lone season he brought him in for the injured Ryan Tannehill, after leaving the Bears. I vote we have Adam Gase take over the Patriots job. Just remove Bill Belichick from the league. I know a guy who knows a guy.

#32.CINCINNATI BENGALS 0-8 (DOWN 1 SPOT) Andy Dalton is riding the bench. A.J Green is still not ready to get on the field. The Bengals remain winning less. They are the only team in the whole entire league without a win. This Sunday you have a rookie quarterback behind center. This is the ole Bumble recipe of success.

CONGRATULATIONS BENGAL FANS YOU ARE OFFICIALLY THE WORST TEAM IN THE LEAGUE!!! SHOW US YOUR HAPPY DANCE.

On Sundays Bengal fans go grocery shopping instead of watching their team play. They can still get excited about a sale they come across.

Google maps even confirmed that the Bengals are one of the quickest routes to stardom. Number one draft pick. Next season where will Andy Dalton be? Will he do better out of Cincinnati than Carson Palmer who did have a few good seasons in Arizona?

NFL WEEK 9 PREDICTIONS DONE THE WILD SHAMROCK WAY

OVERALL RECORD THIS SEASON OF STRAIGHT PICK-EM AFTER 8 WEEKS

74-47

LAST WEEK: 10-5

THURSDAY NIGHT RECORD:4-4

MONDAY NIGHT RECORD:6-2

THURSDAY NIGHT GAME

49ERS AT CARDINALS

49ers too much to handle living in a Cardinals world. I can see the Cardinals making a game out of it.

OUR PICK:49ERS

THE SUNDAY SLATE

TEXANS AT JAGUARS

Jaguars wins have come from the bottom of the barrel of the NFL. I am impressed with the Jaguars porn star they have at QB. Mustache will not be able to out-duel Watson and company. Besides the Texans are in the middle of a winning streak which only the Colts know how to stop.

OUR PICK: TEXANS

BEARS AT EAGLES

X-Bear Jordan Howard plows through the Bears defense and shows Matt Nagy what a running game is all about. Bears on life support. An early hibernation to sleep off the kicking woes and bad quarterbacking.

OUR PICK:EAGLES

COLTS AT STEELERS

I see Jacoby Brissett having a better game than he had last week versus Denver. Colts still won that game besides his bad day at the office. Steelers probably think they are back in the division race with the win over Miami. Reality will strike them on the field this Sunday.

OUR PICK: COLTS

JETS AT DOLPHINS

AMERICA’S GAME OF THE WEEK. Wait sorry the Cowboys are not in this match up. However they play on Monday night. Head Coach Adam Gase runs the ball in the end zone himself to beat his former team, Miami.

OUR PICK:JETS

VIKINGS AT CHIEFS

No Patrick Mahomes. Chiefs unable to stop the Vikings’ Cook as Minnesota whips up a recipe that wins them their 5th straight.

OUR PICK:VIKINGS

TITANS AT PANTHERS

Kick the man when he is down. Kyle Allen, a rookie quarterback, finds it hard to rebound from his first loss last week. Titans have the hot hand in Tannehill.

OUR PICK:TITANS

REDSKINS AT BILLS

Dwayne Haskins gets his first start of his career for the skins. Shirts win as Bills defense rebounds from last week to make it a long day in Buffalo for the rookie.

OUR PICK:BILLS

BUCCANEERS AT SEAHAWKS

Head Coach Bruce Arians does have a history in winning in Seattle. However Jameis Winston is his quarterback these days. The traveling schedule for Tampa Bay will ground any kind of upset.

OUR PICK:SEAHAWKS

LIONS AT RAIDERS

Lions finally won last week versus the Giants. Raiders have not won since London. Both teams have been playing very tough. I see Raiders winning this one finally being home after a month on the road. Even if it’s Oakland.

OUR PICK:RAIDERS

PACKERS AT CHARGERS

Ryan Leaf has taken over Phillip Rivers’ body. The Chargers will continue to shoot themselves in the foot. Not like the Bears, the Packers are greedy and will happily take the victory on the road.

OUR PICK:PACKERS

BROWNS AT BRONCOS

I think the Browns are right now more desperate for a win out of both these teams. Broncos have a rookie quarterback starting which will be an upgrade over Joe Flacco. Browns find a way to win and rub it on the reporters they’ve been bickering at all week.

OUR PICK BROWNS

PATRIOTS AT RAVENS

Finally the Patriots have an opponent instead of the usual bye. I think Ravens play tough versus the Patriots. Evil Empire capitalizes on one mistake Lamar Jackson does with his arm.

OUR PICK: PATRIOTS

MONDAY NIGHT GAME

COWBOYS AT GIANTS

Jerry Jones is very happy the BOYZ won their bye week. Even the head coach got a ribbon for his participation. It will be a hard fought battle on Monday night, not like some of the duds we have seen this season. Giants defense is the X-FACTOR for the Cowboys offense at the end.

OUR PICK: COWBOYS

NFL WEEK 9 POWER RANKINGS THE WILD SHAMROCK WAY

You may be able to dodge a wrench from this man. However you will never be able to dodge week 9 POWER RANKINGS COMING RIGHT AT YOUR HEAD!!!

And please stay away from the poopy flavored lolipops unless your name is Tom Brady.

#1.NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS 8-0 (SAME) Can we please have a team that gives this evil organization a challenge? Is there a team in the AFC that can give the Patriots a loss? Up next is the wishbone offense the Baltimore Ravens bring to the field every week. Can you put the Ravens in the Patriots’ class just because they are winning their division? Patriots right now are the Russian guy in Rocky IV.

Looks like a new version of the Gronk. In Rocky the Russian guy was dominating as we will say Tom Brady, as he destroyed the Apollo Creed. Killed him. We just need that one lucky punch by a team.

Sometimes it takes one hit to knock this guy and the Patriots back down to earth. Like standing up to the school bully. One good lick on Tom Brady and he’ll think about retiring instead of playing until he is 50.

#2.NEW ORLEANS SAINTS 7-1 (SAME)

The return of Drew Brees. Did the Saints miss him? They went undefeated with Teddy Bridgewater. Drew Brees’ return 34-43 373 yards 3 tds 1 int. Brees did not miss a beat being back from his injury early in the season. Bridgewater can’t put up those numbers and certainly the Saints missed him. Bridgewater was awesome. Saints now become a power house with Drew being back and they are 7-1 with the bye week coming up.

#3.SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS 8-0 (SAME) The 49ers are for real!!! They dismantled a hot Panther team and gave them an old fashioned butt whipping. Just like Adrian Peterson would do his son’s hide. 49ers put a 50 burger on them. Panthers have a pretty good defense as well. They have the defense. They have the running game. Jimmy Garoppolo is a man still standing. My only question is if Jimmy Garoppolo is battle tested. One of these big games down the road he will have to win it with his arm. Can he make a comeback with his arm if the team finds itself in a hole early on? Yesterday versus The Cardinals, Jimmy showed he has grit to make the comeback. I still would like to see what Jimmy could do versus some of the better defenses in the league playing from behind. Right now I will say the 49ers are red hot.

#4.GREEN BAY PACKERS 7-1 (SAME) Packers won a big road game over the Chiefs last Sunday. A Chiefs team without Patrick Mahomes. It was a well fought game, but Aaron Rodgers had one of his type of games. Almost perfect without his best receiver who is still battling an injury. Chiefs did score off that defense which is not the slice of GOUDA people have been thinking. We will see how the Packers do fare as they hit a stretch of road games in the schedule. Chiefs is a big test. They got that one. The Chargers should be a win coming up. However the Chargers finally snap a losing streak. Phillip Rivers can be streaky.

#5.SEATTLE SEAHAWKS 6-2 (SAME) Seahawks quickly rebound from their loss versus the Ravens with a win over the Falcons. Seahawks claimed troubled wide receiver Josh Gordon off waivers from New England dumping him on Friday. Gordon will not play in week 9. This move will give the Seahawks another threat on the offense. If the team can get the best out of Gordon, it gives Russell Wilson a big time weapon. Wilson who so far is having an MVP style of year half way through the season.

Coach Pete Carroll, the My Buddy coach, will have Josh Gordon sing Christmas songs to break in his new wide out Josh Gordon. They may have to stay away from 99 bottles of beer on the wall.

#6.MINNESOTA VIKINGS 6-2 (UP 3 SPOTS) Vikings have won four games in a roll.

Dalvin Cook has emerged as one of the best running backs in the league. He has busted out some big runs making opposing defenses look foolish. Cook is one of the biggest reasons why the Vikings are rolling and remain one game behind the Packers in the Central. Vikings are a complete team. Kirk Cousins’ play has to stay consistent and then they will catch the Packers and go beyond. Little Buzzlight year for you.

#7.INDIANAPOLIS COLTS 5-2 (UP 3 SPOTS) Last time I was saying Jacoby Brissett was coming off his best game behind center.Last week versus Denver Brissett, did not do really well as the Broncos harassed him all day. I know the Broncos quarterback is Joe Flacco, but the Colts defense harassed him all day keeping the team in the game. Finally Brissett drove his team down the field and the Colts win the game despite all the mistakes that were made in this contest all the way around. Great teams at times win ugly and find ways to win those games. Plus being able to overcome mistakes, you know things are going your way when you survive games like that.

#8.KANSAS CITY CHIEFS 5-3 (DOWN 2 SPOTS) The Chiefs without Patrick Mahomes are a team brought back down to earth. Patrick Mahomes is practicing, but his return is still a question mark. He will be out this Sunday versus the Vikings. Chiefs are hitting a very tough part of their schedule with the Packers last week and the Vikings this week. No walk in the park like the Patriots’ schedule. Back up… Matt Moore did very well in the loss versus the Packers. The Chiefs who come in at number 27th in the league in rushing, hope to get some kind of running game to help Matt Moore. Kareem Hunt, not a man that beats up gals in hotel hallways, had the running game much higher than Shady McCoy and Damien Williams. Chiefs hoping to thread water until Mahomes gets back and perhaps knock off one of these teams doing that. Coach Andy Reid the Walrus, has done that before with back up quarterbacks.

#9.BALTIMORE RAVENS 5-2 (UP 2 SPOTS) Almost halfway through the season and the Ravens are at 5-2. I know their division shit has hit the fan.

Bengals are terrible. Injuries have Steel town playing like Brokeback mountain. Cleveland has no clue. They finally have a victory against a contender beating Seahawks in Seattle. If they take down the Patriots this Sunday, then we’ll be moving Lamar Jackson to the deluxe apartments in the sky.

#10. CAROLINA PANTHERS 4-3 (DOWN 4 SPOTS) Panthers hit a hard bump in the road last week. San Francisco absolutely molested the Panthers taking their self esteem, confidence, and golden watch. Panthers were one of the hottest teams in the league coming into last Sunday. Can the Panthers turn this around? Can rookie quarterback Kyle Allen sweep last Sunday under the rug like some Catholic Irish family? Cam Newton is just a broken cookie, off to see a foot specialist and his timeline for returning is much longer. The kid has the keys to car now with no backseat driver. Can he drive the rest of the way and guide the Panthers to the playoffs?

#11.BUFFALO BILLS 5-2 (DOWN THREE SPOTS) How many beverages does it take Bills fans to get over the Eagles coming in and demolishing your team last Sunday?

They might not even remember. One day I will get to one of the Bills games to see the craziness for myself that unfolds every week. The Bills’ dynamic defense had a very bad day versus the Eagles who ran right through them. Bills need to do more things on offense. They need to run the ball more with the talented backfield, especially the rookie back from injury. Devin Motor Singletary needs the ball more. He is a legit playmaker and could help Josh Allen a lot. The offense has to score more to overcome a bad day on the defensive side of the ball, their main staple.

#12.HOUSTON TEXANS 5-3 (SAME) Beating the Raiders these days is not like it once was back in the past when Marcus Allen carried the ball. With that win the Texans stay in the same spot, number 12. Deshaun Watson gets the play of the week versus the Raiders.

Watson is being tackled and still gets the pass off before he hits the carpet. He finds the open guy going down for the go ahead score.

THE BAD NEWS: Texans lose JJ Watt to a season ending injury. This is not the first time the Texans have gone down this road. The AFC South is becoming very interesting. Will the Watt injury affect the race? Colts 5-2, Texans 5-3 and both the Titans and Jaguars are creeping up at 4-4 records.

#13.DETROIT LIONS 3-3-1 (SAME) Right now the Lions are not the worst team in the NFC Central. Lions snapped their losing streak taking down the Giants in a dog fight. A big win as they try to keep pace with the Vikings and Packers, two teams they fell victim to. Lions will need to put together a string of victories if they want to get back in this thing. In a blink of an eye, they could find themselves out of the division race in the next two weeks.

#14.LA RAMS 5-3 (SAME) Rams win again. They beat up on the bottom of the barrel Bengals. They trade away injured corner back Aqib Talib to the Dolphins. Plus they are the best team in LA. Plus they did not go down in our power rankings. How does that work for you?

#15.DALLAS COWBOYS 4-3 (UP 2 SPOTS) Cowboys beat the Eagles at the right time. It’s been a quiet week as the Cowboys were on a bye week.

Cowboys win again. They were the best bye team of the week. Congrats you did not lose! Look at you!!!!

#16.ARIZONA CARDINALS 3-5-1 (DOWN 1 SPOT) It was a great run of the Cardinals winning three games in a row. The Cardinals playing their tough part of the schedule gave a few teams a run for their money. They have lost two in a row, but they had the 49ers on the brink on Thursday night. The undefeated 49ers. Cardinals will spoil some teams’ playoff hopes. Especially in their own division where Rams, 49ers, and Seahawks are all in the thick of things. One team might get upended by Kyle Murray and the red birds.

#17.PHILADELPHIA EAGLES 4-4 (UP 1 SPOT) Every time the Eagles look like they are on life support, they come back to life. If only they played with that mentality all the time, they’d be back in the Superbowl.

YO ADRIAN… THE EAGLES HAVE THE EYE OF THE TIGER BACK

#18.CLEVELAND BROWNS 2-5 (DOWN 2 SPOTS) Is Brady Mayfield winning the war of words with the reporters? The Browns are winning, but not on the field. Is Odell Beckham Jr the voice of reason? It’s been one dysfunctional family the Browns have.

The Browns look like they hired the wrong guy as head coach. Someone tell their quarterback to shut up and play the game on the field. Right now you are leaning towards being a Ryan Leaf bust if you continue to go down this road. Cleveland, another city where quarterbacks just flat out die.

#19.JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS 4-4 (UP 2 SPOTS) Minshew fever is sweeping through Florida like a Hurricane. The Jaguars have won two games in a row. They are the best Florida team by far. It’s all because of Gardner Minshew, former 70’s porn star.

Maybe Gardner Minshew is Batman with the bat stache. Will the Jaguars screw this up? Do you put Nick Foles back in when he is ready to come back? Can Minshew be the guy behind center? If so you can get a big return for Nick Foles in the off season. Plus free up the salary cap to sign other players to fill in your weak spots. I’d let it play out and see where Dirk Diggler takes you.

#20.OAKLAND RAIDERS 3-4 (DOWN 1 SPOT) Raiders played very well last week versus the Texans. They could not overcome the athleticism of Deshaun Watson breaking a key tackle with a defender draped all over him as he still made the pass which was completed and the score that broke the Raiders’ back. Raiders still find themselves in the thick of things. Broncos have a rookie QB taking over. The Chargers look bad. The Chiefs are in a slow free fall without Patrick Mahomes. If Raiders can feast off the bad play of the division they have a shot. Perhaps kidnap Patrick Mahomes until the regular season is concluded, that would help them as well.

#21.TENNESSEE TITANS 4-4 (UP 5 SPOTS) Since making the switch at quarterback going to Ryan Tannehill over Marcus Mariota, the Titans have won two games in a row. Titans have a pretty good defense. They have a great running back. They solved their problem making the switch. I would have did it earlier, but I’m just a blogger. That’s why the Titans went out and made the trade. This move could be a season saver

#22.CHICAGO BEARS 3-4 (DOWN 2 SPOTS) The Chargers wanted to give the Bears the game last week. Bears refused and now they have dropped another game. Lots going wrong in Chicago. Finding out you drafted a lemon at quarterback. The coach might be a lemon as well with his play calling. They run the ball versus the Chargers all game long doing well. Since the Chargers have injuries to their interior defensive line. In the first half they settle for field goals instead of running it in on the goal line as again, stupid passes fail due to being off target. The kicking game has hurt this team for years and they have not had an answer. Could Bears fans be missing Jay Cutler? Can you compare Mark Trestman and Matt Nagy?

#23.NEW YORK GIANTS 2-6 (DOWN 1 SPOT) Giants have not won in awhile. Daniel Jones went 2-0 and now the Giants have lost 4 straight. Last two games Giants had played tough teams. Great having their star running back in the mix. Saquon Barkley keeps getting better each game since being back on the field. Giants offense is clicking but they are not winning the shootouts. The defense is still a problem. But on the offense, the more games Daniel Jones plays the better he gets. The future looks bright on the offense in the big apple.

#24.PITTSBURGH STEELERS 3-4 (UP 1 SPOT) Watch out the Steelers are back in the thick of things winning on Monday Night. Now their record is 3-4 and they find themselves 2 games behind the Ravens. Don’t get fooled by this win. Coach Mike Tomlin and all the players probably did rosary beads in the locker room at half time. Praying they would not get beat by the Dolphins. Lucky, Dolphins only like to play one half of football. People in steel town are enjoying a sigh of relief not losing to the worst team in football.

#25.LA CHARGERS 3-5 (UP 2 SPOTS)

The only thing worth watching on the Chargers is Joey Bosa playing on the defense. Chargers have many injuries especially on defense. Bosa still is playing at a high level on a team going nowhere. Even though they won last week they were dominated numbers wise by the Bears except the score. Chargers make too many stupid mistakes that shoot them in the foot on long key drives. Ryan Leaf is inside Phillip Rivers’ body. Lucky Bears missed the kick at the end of the game or we’d be still talking about their losing streak.

#26.TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS 2-5 (DOWN 3 SPOTS) Buccaneers now have lost three in a row. They head now to Seattle with a date with the Seahawks and a very tough place to win. The Buccaneers played the Titans well last week. Two picks from you know who, Jameis Winston cost the Buccaneers the game. Same ole story same ole song and dance. If Bruce Arians can’t turn Winston into a better quarterback, then who can? It will be interesting in the off season if the Buccaneers go in another direction behind center, it being Winston’s last year under contract. If I was a Bucaneer fan I would want them to go in another direction.

#27.DENVER BRONCOS 2-6 (DOWN 3 SPOTS) The Broncos lost to the Indianapolis Colts last Sunday in a game the Colts did not deserve to win. Colts played so sloppy and the Broncos did not take advantage of the mistakes that kept piling up. Broncos defense seems to be getting better. Hiring Vic Fangio, my thoughts are that side of the ball would come together quicker than the pathetic offense. Joe Flacco is out, he was hurt in the game versus the Colts. Which has to make Denver fans dance in the streets naked. Now let’s see now if Horse Gums John Elway can figure out what a quarterback looks like. You’d think he would know. With Joe Flacco out. Drew Lock is hurt. Now the Broncos have a hodge podge of unknowns to see if they even have got something close to an NFL quarterback. Brandon Allen is getting the start. How many Allen last name quarterbacks are in this league starting? Then Broncos have Brett Rypien backing up another Allen. Only quarterback John Elway had that worked was Peyton Manning since being in charge of day to day operations for the Broncos. That signing Elway probably got lucky on. The rest of his signings and drafted quarterbacks all have been sent to the island of misfit toys.

On the Island he has a quarterback with a rubber arm. A quarterback with flat feet. Even a quarterback that rides an ostrich. Perhaps one that shot gun jelly.

#28.WASHINGTON REDSKINS (1-7) (UP 1 SPOT) The Ghost Busters were unable to save the Jets from the Jaguars last week so we moved the Redskins up one spot.

Whats Happening in Washington is rookie quarterback, Dwayne Haskins, is getting the nod. The former Ohio State quarterback will be facing a topnotch Buffalo defense on his first ever start. Haskins has filled in a few times this season. We will see “Whats Happening” after the game at Rob’s place for burgers. Just don’t call her Shirley when she waits on you.

#29.NEW YORK JETS 1-6 (DOWN 1 SPOT) Kind of shocked me Le’Veon Bell had the Steelers on his wish list of places he’d play if the Jets intended to trade him before the deadline. That shocks me because he held out last year with the Steelers. However he was PAID this season by the Jets. He has the money. The Steelers have a much better offensive line in Pittsburgh where he can put up his stats, than running for the Jets in an offensive line that is in shambles due to injuries. That does not shock me since he has his money, he wants to flee to a place with his loot and play with higher talent assembled around him so they can help him showcase his touchdown dance. He is still stuck in New York. However him and his head coach Adam Gase have been talking. Maybe they have a plan for Bell to improve that 1.56 yard per rush attempt this season.

#30.ATLANTA FALCONS 1-7 (SAME) Falcons had no Matt Ryan, you’re thinking no hope.

The Falcons do have a Schaub on their bench. Yes, veteran Matt Schaub filled in for the injured Matt Ryan and went 39-52 for 460 yards. They must have been behind the whole game. Which they were. Schaub had one touchdown throw and he’s always good for a interception. Love seeing has-been quarterbacks come back from the scrap yard. Have not seen Schaub for years then he resurfaces. Same result a Falcon lost. However the Falcons looked better than they did most of the games this season.

#31.CINCINNATI BENGALS 0-8 (SAME) Many fans from around the league just wanted a red rifle ryder Andy Dalton BB gun for Christmas.

The trade deadline has passed and the Bengals did not trade any of their pieces they have in a very bad year.

THIS ANGERED MANY FANS INCLUDING BENGAL FANS

Andy Dalton instead will ride the bench. Now Bengal fans are stuck with coal in their stocking as Ryan Finley will get the start in their next game.

#32.MIAMI DOLPHINS 0-7 (SAME)

CAN YOU SAY TANKING!!!!

Dolphins are playing hard half the game at least. They had their second lead of the year on Monday Night versus the Steelers. In the second half, Steelers came back and won the game. Dolphins now have 14 picks for the 2020 NFL draft as they made some more trades. Three first rounders. Two second rounders. Plus they have two compensatory picks as well.

BEARS CAVE A TOTAL DISASTER

I wonder what the Bears’ head coach Matt Nagy had Mitch Trubisky rated in the draft in 2017? At the time, Matt Nagy, was a coach on the Kansas City Chiefs’ side line. Was Mitch Trubisky projected to even be a first round draft pick by Matt Nagy? If you could only be a fly on the wall in Matt Nagy’s office. Perhaps even see the notes he had written about Mitch Trubisky back then. We know the Chiefs chose Patrick Mahomes after Trubisky and Deshaun Watson were scooped up. Experts said one of Mitch Trubisky’s strong points was his accuracy before he was drafted. Even with only one year playing under his belt in college, he was drafted higher than two guys that have quite the resume on the collegiate level. Many Thought Trubisky will play at a higher level in year three of his career. Year two in the same system. Why has he regressed to a level so low in the 2019 campaign?

Last Sunday the LA Chargers tried to serve the Chicago Bears a victory on a silver platter. Once again the Bears shoot themselves in the paws in a game they should have won. Bears won the numbers game versus the Chargers except the most important ones on the score board. Bears had the football for 38 minutes in their possession on offense. Who was to blame? Some will say the kicker who missed a 41 game winner with 4 ticks left in the game. Once again Coach Matt Nagy with just bad play calling. What about the play of Mitch Trubisky? Trubisky did drive the team down the field to set up the winning field goal. He also turned over the ball twice. Your defense held the Chargers to 17 points. Bears were held to 16 points by a crappy Charger team missing many defensive starters due to injury. If the Bears offense could muster up 20 points per game in 2019 with that defense, they would be in the thick of things.

In the first half of the game versus the Chargers, the Bears ran 12 plays inside the Chargers ten yard line without scoring a touchdown. The Bears ran nine plays inside the five yard line to come away with only chip shot field goals that were made. Mitch Trubisky throws were off target.Matt Nagy in my mind should of just ran the ball straight up the middle on the Charger team missing their interior line man on defense. He chose to pass and Mitch Trubisky looked very uncomfortable. Mitch Trubisky only completed 5 passes in this game over 5 yards. He came into the game 26th in the league in passing rating. Last season Mitch Trubisky had some great games like the big game against the Buccaneers defense which was known at the time for giving up lots of points each contest. Some of Trubisky’s numbers were inflated. However he was decent. He got the job done. That talented defense was able to bail out Trubisky’s mistakes. This season far too many to hide the weakest link.

The Chicago Bears put all their cards on the table when it came to drafting Mitch Trubisky. They gave up draft picks just to move up one spot just to land Mitch. They then traded high draft picks to land Khalil Mack which made a good defense, an incredible defense instantly. It’s the same plan many teams have done. Like the Seattle Seahawks drafted Russell Wilson and had their money invested in the Legion of Boom defense. Bears and Seahawks were paying the young quarterbacks a low amount of money in their rookie deals with a huge window of opportunity to win a Superbowl. The Bears made it to the playoffs last season after winning the NFC Central. Coming into 2019, many had the Bears possibly going to the Superbowl. As you can see, the Bears have a lot invested in Mitch Trubisky at quarterback. You can even say when the Bears hired Matt Nagy, an offensive genius. A quarterback whisperer to help Mitch get to a higher level.

Is this thing with Mitch Trubisky fixable? I’m not sure if Mitch Trubisky is salvageable at this point. He looks more like one of those project quarterbacks. Young guys that sit on the practice squad and you try to develop slowly. He came into the league and people said he had accuracy which is not there. You can’t teach accuracy. You have it or you don’t. Without that he is unable to throw down the field 20 yards or over. His stats there are just sickening bad. The problem is this team is built to win now. Learning on the fly has killed the Bears this season. We do not know when or if he will be able grasp everything in time. The Bears could not trade for a quarterback before the deadline because they traded away their capital in draft picks. The salary cap next year might not be able to afford and land a high priced veteran quarterback. Being stuck with Mitch could deflate a Bears team that looked to have so much promise.

Besides Mitch Trubisky’s faults, the Bears still have lots of questions. Can you trust Ryan Pace the GM of the Bears to even find a replacement in the draft or free agency behind the center? Ryan Pace is having a tough time trying to figure out what a good kicker looks like. Is Matt Nagy the right guy to be the head coach of the Chicago Bears? Nagy, aka Inspector Gadget, gets a little nutty with his play calling on the offense. At times in the red zone he gets too cutesy for the common goal, just score a touchdown. Teams have caught up to him on his play calling. Does his scheme even have the right parts? Seems he can’t get the best of what he has and does not play to their talents. To give up on a running back like Jordon Howard who can wear down defenses, especially in colder games in Chicago. Mitch Trubisky came off a shoulder injury and he has him passing the ball over 50 times versus the Saints. You have a coach with bad game planning. You have a GM that can hit on certain positions. Traded away many draft picks to build depth. Then you have a quarterback who may be a bust. With all of this going down, Chucky Gruden looks like the genius trading away Mack to the Bears when we thought he lost his mind. Bears could be in deep shit as the mistakes continue to leak out, as the season continues to linger something fowl over the Lake.

NFL WEEK 8 PREDICTIONS DONE THE WILD SHAMROCK WAY

OVERALL RECORD THIS SEASON OF STRAIGHT PICK-EM AFTER WEEK SEVEN 64-42

LAST WEEK: SEASON BEST 10-4

OVERALL THURSDAY RECORD 3-4

OVERALL MONDAY NIGHT RECORD 5-2

WEEK 8

THURSDAY NIGHT GAME

REDSKINS AT VIKINGS

The reunion of Kirk Cousins versus his old team. Adrian Peterson and his old team. Throw in Case Keenum as well. It’s like a lost episode of the Partridge family.

OUR PICK: VIKINGS

THE SUNDAY SLATE

SEAHAWKS AT FALCONS

Falcons are waving the white flag for the entire season. Seahawks coming off a loss at home last week. Matt Ryan is out. NFL may need to add a slaughter rule. They may need to spot the Falcons ten points before the game even starts.

OUR PICK: SEAHAWKS

EAGLES AT BILLS

Looks like the Eagles are out cold on the canvas and not getting up. Bills are at home and the defense will be up for the challenge. They had a slow start last week, look for the Bills to jump on this Eagle team early and not give up the lead.

OUR PICK: BILLS

CHARGERS AT BEARS

Two playoff teams from last year that are in the crapper this year. Both teams desperate for a win. Watch this one end in a tie. Chargers Phillip Rivers aka Ryan Leaf will screw this game up at the end some how and cost the Chargers yet another win. Matt Nagy finally comes up with a new idea to him and runs the ball ten times.

OUR PICK:BEARS

GIANTS AT LIONS

Lions have been playing well with nothing to show for it with tough opponents. They will welcome the Giants with open arms. Maybe even hug them for coming to Detroit so the Lions can break a losing streak and possibly get back in the thick of things.

OUR PICK: LIONS

JETS AT JAGUARS

WHO CARES!?!? I’m seeing Casper with the winning score in this one.

OUR PICK: JAG BAGS

BENGALS AT RAMS

Rams last week finally got back on track with the doormat Atlanta Falcons. Bumbles another doormat and another arse kicking. Rams win easy.

OUR PICK RAMS

CARDINALS AT SAINTS

Return of Drew Brees. It will be like old Jedi knight versus young Jedi Knight. Cardinals have been feasting on crappy teams as they won three in a roll. Saints have too much talent for the Cardinals to get the upset. Kyle Murray should be able to soak in some QB knowledge watching Brees play.

OUR PICK:SAINTS

BUCCANEERS AT TITANS

Something tells me the Buccaneers will have a good day. Coming off a bye week. Bruce Arians had two weeks to prepare for the Titans. Once a month it seems in my opinion the Buccaneers come to life and play a great game. Titans looked good with Ryan Tannehill last week. It will be a close game, but one mistake will cost the Titans the game.

OUR PICK:BUCCANEERS

PANTHERS AT 49ERS

Two teams that are hot on big winning streaks. The 49ers have not lost. The Panthers since Kyle Allen took over have not lost. Something has to give. Both teams have great defenses. My X-factor in this one is running back Christian McCaffrey who will have a big game where he played college at.

OUR PICK: PANTHERS

RAIDERS AT TEXANS

Houston will not have a problem with the Raiders. Texans always win after they encounter a loss versus the Colts. I see the same thing happening here. Raiders’ youth is showing with too many mistakes in games to overcome.

OUR PICK TEXANS

BROWNS AND PATRIOTS

Raise your hand if you hate the Patriots. Can we get the Browns of the second half of last season to play instead of this sluggish Brown team? Would love to see a big upset. Patriots remain undefeated.

OUR PICK: GRRRR EVIL EMPIRE

PACKERS AT CHIEFS

Crazy things happen on Sunday night. No Patrick Mahomes. It is too easy to say Packers. Matt Moore is a quality back up. Plus the way the defense of Chiefs played on Thursday night is the key to this game. Packers are a good team, but they are overrated in my book as well.

OUR PICK:CHIEFS

DOLPHINS AT STEELERS

Dolphins have not been demoted yet to junior varsity. Steelers win with the Beerman playing QB the fifth stringer.

OUR PICK: STEELERS

NFL WEEK 8 POWER RANKINGS THE WILD SHAMROCK WAY

NFL POWER RANKING COMING YOUR WAY: CAN YOU HEAR US NOW?

#1.NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS 7-0 (SAME) The Evil Empire defense has been very good all year. On Monday Night they pitched a shut out on the Jets offense. Jets are not a very good team, but it’s a team that beat the Cowboys a week before that and the Jets offense in that game was probably their best all season long. Still would like to see the Patriots play against a talented offense to see if this thing is for real on the defensive side of the ball. Cleveland Browns come to town which is a team full of talent especially on the offense, but as a team they are struggling. Patriots added another weapon before the trade deadline in acquiring wide receiver Mohamed Sanu from Atlanta. I’m sure the Gronk will suddenly come out of retirement as this machine continues to fly free.

#2.NEW ORLEANS SAINTS 6-1 (SAME) Saints were missing, again, Drew Brees. Also their top running back in Alvin Kamara was out with an injury. They had no starting tight end for the game as Jared Cook was also out. They had guys off the street playing. Zach Zenner found his way on the field for special teams and ran the ball. The Chicago Bears had two weeks to prepare for Teddy Bridgewater. The once upon a time ferocious Bears defense was in hibernation. Plus the Bears had Mitch Trubisky. Not sure that means much as he threw over 50 times. The Saints still prevail on the road outside on grass away from their usual dome. Brees is getting healthy and may be back soon. Saints have the best defense in the NFC. Perhaps the best in the whole entire league.

#3.SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS 6-0 (UP 1 SPOT) The 49ers continue to rise to the top. The front office even has confidence in what the team has done and went out and got another receiver. Emmanuel Sanders from Denver gives Jimmy Garoppolo another weapon to throw to. 49ers went on the road last week and won an ugly one in DC. Crappy weather indeed, but they found a way to win the game and three field goals was enough to do so. Good teams find a way to win ugly games. 49ers defense each week seems to be getting better. They will need them to play well with some tough teams in their own division.

#4.GREEN BAY PACKERS 6-1 (UP 1 SPOT) Was that a Jimmy Graham sighting last week in Green Bay? Without their top receiver Davante Adams who is still sidelined Aaron Rogers was able to get many involved in the offense. The running game is still thriving each week. The defense is better than last year, but people have that unit overrated with all the hype. At home they absolutely played with the Raiders like a cat playing with his prey before he chomp down on the neck. Green Bay’s new coach has gotten everything jelling at the same time, all three units and the cheating calls they get away with are off the charts so far. Coach McCarthy, former Packer coach, is probably a couch potato eating fried curds plotting and planning his revenge while fingering his belly button hole and giving his finger the sniff test afterwards.

#5.SEATTLE SEAHAWKS 5-2 (DOWN 2 SPOTS) A rare loss at home last week for the Seahawks. Sometimes I scratch my head and don’t understand how the Baltimore Ravens, a team that is up and down, goes into Seattle and pulls out a win in one of the hardest places to play on the road. I will mark this down as just a hiccup for Seattle. Ravens on any given Sunday got it done as they fought for each inch and prevailed.

#6.KANSAS CITY CHIEFS 5-2 (SAME) I can’t believe Patrick Mahomes is already back practicing.

Did Patrick Mahomes go down the same road like in the movie Major League? Sacrifice the bucket of chicken to wake up the bats, in Patrick’s case, chicken grease to awaken up the dislocated knee cap. The Chiefs defense has to play like they did versus Denver if they want to win without Mahomes, even if it’s only a week. Who knows? It could be a game time decision.

#7.CAROLINA PANTHERS 4-2 (SAME) Can Kyle Allen remain undefeated as the Panthers quarterback? Will the bye week slow down the Panthers’ four game winning streak? Keep giving the ball to perhaps the best running back in the league. Christian McCaffrey’s all purpose yardage could break some NFL records this season. Panthers defense is holding its own. Just keep that broken cookie in the jar as he is still stale and should just be tossed out. Stick with Oreo cookies instead of a Fig Newton.

#8.BUFFALO BILLS 5-1 (SAME) Buffalo looked a little rusty in that first half coming off the bye week versus the Dolphins. They had a better second half and came back and won that game. Josh Allen had a very nice game with no interceptions. The Bills fans unveiled their new tailgate game, hatchet throwing. As we all know, the Bills Mafia knows how to have a great time before, during, and after the game.

#9.MINNESOTA VIKINGS 5-2 (SAME) This Thursday, the Minnesota Vikings took care of business and beat the Redskins 19-9. I still don’t like the inconsistent play of the offense. Before Thursday, Kirk Cousins was slinging the ball all over the field and Vikings were scoring lots of points. They were running and passing like a well-oiled machine. On Thursday the Vikings drives stalled in the Red Zone. They had to settle for field goals most of the game versus the Skins. Bad execution in general on third downs. Easy sack in the red zone for the Redskins to stop Kirk Cousins who had no time to get the play off. In playoffs, this will not cut the mustard. To win the NFC Central this will not cut the cheese versus the Packers.

#10. INDIANAPOLIS COLTS 4-2 (SAME) Jacoby Brissett had his best game as a Colt versus the division rival, the Houston Texans. Colts have the Texans’ number over the last few years. Even when Houston is tearing up the league they run into a buzz saw versus the Colts who were coming off a bye week after they took down the Chiefs for their first lost. At the start of this season with the sudden retirement of Andrew Luck, fans probably thought the worse. Look at the Washington Nationals losing Bryce Harper to free agency. Now they are two games away from winning the whole thing. Can the Colts go down the same road as the Nationals? Could they have that kind of Luck without Luck on the roster.

#11.BALTIMORE RAVENS 5-2 (UP 1 SPOT) Ravens continue to surprise me. They went on the road and took down Seattle in Seattle. Toughest place in the league to get a win. One week the Browns own the Ravens. The next week they struggle closing out the Steelers.

Does not matter how you get there as long as Lamar Jackson is the last man standing in the Superbowl. Do you think Ravens fans miss Joe Flacco? Like Bears fans missing Jay Cutler?

#12.HOUSTON TEXANS 4-2 (UP 1 SPOT) The Texans, even though they lost to the Colts, I have up one spot from last week. Every team has that one team that they do not match up well against. Texans have problems with the Colts. Before the Colts game, Texans beat the Chiefs and routed the Falcons, putting a 50 burger on them. After a loss Texans have been known to rebound quickly. Raiders and the Jaguars are teams that are up the next two weeks on the Texans schedule. I can see the Texans getting to the 6-2 mark at their half way mark of the 2019 season.

#13.DETROIT LIONS 2-3-1 (UP 1SPOT) Lions have played two great games in a row and lost them both. Both to the division the NFC Central. Then they trade one of their captains away on the defense that is not going well in the locker room. Could that be the straw that breaks the camel’s back? This team got robbed versus Green Bay. They let Arizona get back in the game which ends in a tie. Right now they should be 4-2 and in the thick of things. Maybe trading one of your boys can propel this team to go on a big run in the middle of the season.

#14.LA RAMS 4-3 (UP 5 SPOTS) Rams finally stop the bleeding. They land Jalen Ramsey. They traded away Marcus Peters. They needed to play a team like Atlanta, when they rolled all over the dirty birds. That game might be their catapult back into the thick of things. They have used up all their life lines. But they might regain their confidence and turn this season around instead of going down that Superbowl hangover road that losing teams do in the big game.

#15. ARIZONA CARDINALS 3-3-1 (UP 3 SPOTS) Just in case you do not know, the Cardinals have now won three games in a row. Kyle Murray is starting to take over this league by storm. I think he made the right choice, football over baseball.

You’re starting to see Kyle Murray play like he did last season in college with Oklahoma. That huge season he had where he had the Sooner steamrolling the competition. They are winning with a rookie head coach. Cardinals are playing as a team. This team could spoil other teams’ seasons as we continue closing in on the half way mark. I do not see the Cardinals making it to the playoffs especially in that tough division they play in. However they might ruin one of their division foes’ seasons along the way.

#16.CLEVELAND BROWNS 2-5 (UP 1 SPOT)

Buzz Beer and the Cleveland Browns will make CLEVELAND ROCK AGAIN!!! Plenty of Buzz Beer during the bye week for the Brown players to loosen up the squad. Drew Carey will lead the charge versus the Patriots. The upset of the year to turn this year around for this Cleveland squad. They are doing it for Bernie’s daughter.

Nothing is wrong with her. She has to be able to elevate the play of this Browns team with or without Buzz Beer. If you see three ghosts of Tom Brady ,just hit the one in the middle.

#17. DALLAS COWBOYS 4-3 (UP 4 SPOTS) One week you lose to the Jets. The next week you beat the Eagles and now you are on top of your own division. Only in the NFL.

#18.PHILADELPHIA EAGLES 3-4 (DOWN 7 SPOTS) Last week I had the Eagles sliding five spots. This week they slid seven more spots. This team just got very bad. They overcame a slow start. But it’s business as usual. Last year they struggled and Nick Foles came to the rescue and guided their sorry butts back to the playoffs. Who’s your Superman now ?

The Eagles flushed away Nick Foles. Now the Philly faithful are burning Carson Wentz jerseys.

If you don’t want Carson Wentz, let the Bears have him. Eagles can take Mitch Trubisky off our hands. Throw in some deep dish pizzas as well to sweeten the pot.

#19.OAKLAND RAIDERS 3-3 (DOWN 4 SPOTS) I think those people that think the Raiders can make a run at a wild card are crazy. Raiders have played better. They are still a young team that has plenty of talent. In London they shot themselves in the foot and let the Bears get back in that game. Bears gift wrapped that game back to the Raiders. Last Sunday versus the Packers, it could have been a close score at halftime. Raiders fumbled inside two minutes around the goal line. Raiders will beat teams. They will shock teams and get the upset as the season prolongs. However they are young, they make too many mistakes and are not a team right now that can overcome them.

#20.CHICAGO BEARS 3-4 (DOWN 4 SPOTS) The 2019 season was supposed to be Bears going all the way. They had the defense. They had the coach. They figured the young quarterback would take his play to the next level. Without Aikeem Hicks clogging up the middle on defense, teams have concentrated on using all their power to stop Khalil Mack. That has worked very well. Then on offense Mitch Trubisky has regressed. He got hurt. The Bears had two weeks to plot a gameplan to beat the Saints who had many injuries. Matt Nagy does not know how to run the ball. He has Mitch Trubisky pass the football over 50 times on his return. Starting to think when Mark Trestman was the head coach of the Bears, he had a better offensive scheme than the trick play king, Matt Nagy. Might be the worst collapse in Chicago sports. The team finally got over Jay Cutler and now this.

#21.JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS 3-4 (UP 3 SPOTS) Great things happen when you trade away trouble makers in Jalen Ramsey. Will this be the end of the line for Gardner Minshew?

Best mustache in the league. With the rumblings of Nick Foles possibly coming back behind center, what will happen to Gardner Minshew? Back to his day job?

Jaguars king of porn when it comes to quarterbacks.

Nick the Dick as Nick Foles. Gardner Minshew as Dirk Diggler. The Jags plan this season should be to let Gardner Minshew drive the car to the playoffs and then let Nick Foles take over in the playoffs. Worked for the Eagles. One problem… the Jaguars are not a very good team.

#22.NEW YORK GIANTS 2-6 (DOWN 2 SPOTS) The Giants get back their main man Saquon Barkley. Maybe it was the chunky soup that his mom made him to get Barkley back on the field. Giants had a matchup with the Cardinals last week in a game they could have won. In a game they should of won, some could say. Giants defense is still very bad. Lately they played a tad better. But when the Giants won two straight with the rookie quarterback, that made you forget temporarily that the G-MEN defense is not Eli Manning’s fault. Or could it be? Maybe Eli is helping call the plays on the side lines. Two way signal callers, you never hear of that any more.

#23.TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS 2-4 (SAME) Drinking tea with the queen in London. Now Tampa Bay can drink moonshine in Nashville while listening some country music.

Maybe they have a country song about Jameis Winston and the Uber driver that broke his heart because she did not want to get fondled by a douchebag.

They know how to make them in the Country. Boots I’m talking about of course. Winston will need to chill in the hotel room or he’ll rampage the city of Nashville like some horny dog that needs to be fixed. Who is Tampa Bay’s travel agent? Great road trip after great road trip. Buccaneers may bring their game this Sunday. However I will not guarantee anything.

#24.DENVER BRONCOS 2-5 (DOWN 3 SPOTS) Broncos came back down to earth after winning two in a row. They got steamrolled by the Chiefs on Thursday night. They traded away one of their best receivers in Emmanuel Sanders who has played for the Broncos for six seasons. Is it time to pull the plug on this Joe Flacco experiment? Are they not waving the white flag? It tells me the white flag is half way up the pole. The Broncos need to see the youngster Drew Lock to see if he is the lock of the future. I know Vic Fangio will improve this defense by next year. Ive seen some great things from the defense. Drew Lock is what I want to see while I lean towards the Avalanche hockey team which is the best team in Denver.

#25.PITTSBURGH STEELERS 2-4 (SAME) Pittsburgh had a bye week so they could not screw up their ranking as it stays the same from the week they beat the Chargers. However the team had two weeks to prepare for Miami. If head Coach Mike Tomlin and the Steelers lose to the Dolphins on Monday night, Tomlin should get the ax. Throw in seven more heads with his disciples and what do you have?

Someone in Pittsburgh knows someone that can do this line of work.

#26.TENNESSEE TITANS 3-4 (UP TWO SPOTS)

Ryan Tannehill finally made his first start of the season for the Titans since coming over from Miami in the off season. Tannehill was 23-29 and 312 yards with two touchdown throws. He hit eight receivers. I think we can now start saying, as we know we all were thinking, Marcus Mariota is a bust. The Chargers were so impressed with Tannehill’s performance that instead of taking the lead at the end of the game they gift wrapped the win for the Titans with a bow on a fumble by Melvin Gordon.

#27. LA CHARGERS 2-5 (DOWN ONE SPOT) Only the Chargers can find a thousand ways to lose a game at the end of regulation. You can blame the interceptions in the red zone by Phillip Rivers. The kicking woes over the years. Last week they could have beaten the Titans at the end of the game. They had two scores that were overturned by replays down on the goal line. Then Melvin Gordon fumbled the ball Titans recovered to win the game. Melvin Gordon blamed holding out as the problem since the running back had no preseason. YOU THINK? NFL GENIUS OF THE WEEK!!!

#28.NEW YORK JETS 1-5 (DOWN ONE SPOT) Jets quarterback last week was seeing ghosts playing New England on Monday night.

GHOST BUSTERS!!!!!

Bill Belichick and the Evil Empire defense showed some different formations to confused Sam Darnold with defenders moving in spots the Jets quarterback missed. Jets take a step back after upsetting the Cowboys only a week before being shut out by the Patriots.

#29.WASHINGTON REDSKINS 1-7 (UP 1 SPOT) The Redskins moved up one spot even though they lost two games in a row. Plus Atlanta Falcons are a big time mess. Meanwhile the Redskins in bad weather held the 49ers to three field goals. On Thursday night to open week eight, they held a hot Minnesota Viking offense to 19 points. They forced the Vikings in the red zone to kick field goals instead of being able to score touchdowns. Bill Callahan, the Redskin interim coach, has this team playing better than Jay Gruden had them playing earlier this season. Suddenly the Redskins defense looks pretty good as they put some good pressure on Kirk Cousins in key situations. Adrian Peterson’s big head thinks his Viking days helped build Minnesota their new house in anew stadium.

#30.ATLANTA FALCONS 1-6 (DOWN 1 SPOT)

ANYBODY FOR DIRTY BIRD STEW?

Falcons have been trading off assets like Mohamed Sanu to the Patriots. All defensive players are being thrown into the grinder.

FALCONS CLOSING UP SHOP EARLY IN THE 2019 SEASON. THE BIRD FLU STRIKES AGAIN.

#31.CINCINNATI BENGALS 0-7 (SAME)

EVERYTHING MUST GO!!!!!!!

We have an Andy Dalton black and white only $176.00

We have an AJ Green stereo. A very nice Joe Mixon freezer. Don’t forget about our new improved Tyler Boyd toaster.

We are slashing all our prices on the Bengal line of appliances.

#32.MIAMI DOLPHINS 0-6 (SAME) The Dolphins looked decent for two quarters versus the Bills and kind of made a game out of it last week. The Dolphins still stay perfect and now have the final countdown with ten games left on the docket. They have hired the band EUROPE to countdown the ten losses in the ten games they have remaining, to stay perfect and not win a game all season.

For the players they have a cardboard cut out similar to the one in the movie, Major League.

In the movie they strip down the board with every win. In the Dolphins locker room after every loss, they strip down their own personal card board cut out of Richard Simmons. WEIRDOS…
